About Us
An independent, expert-driven platform mobilizing Nepal's collective expertise. We complement state capacity through evidence-based policy design and implementation.
Who we are

Beyond Labels and Famous Faces
People often ask us: Are you a think tank, a forum, or an advisory group? To us, the label doesn't matter. What matters is the output: better policies that inform real decision-making.
We do not define an "expert" by how famous they are or how often they appear in the media. We have found that many traditional public intellectuals are often too busy with their own agendas to do the heavy lifting required for actual policy drafting. Instead, we define expertise through transparency, rigorous methodology, and a genuine desire to serve the national interest without seeking immediate personal or political gain.
We are a collective of technical professionals, grassroots workers, and active government insiders who want to help our country improve. We don't seek political gain; we do this for the sake of nation-building.
Our Principles
Transparency Over Prestige
We operate in the open. We do not rely on the 'faces' of famous intellectuals to build credibility. Our credibility comes entirely from our transparent processes, rigorous data, and public outputs.
National Gain, Not Personal Gain
We are a group of people who want to help without seeking immediate personal reward. Our only interest is national progress and better policies.
Non-Hierarchy
We value responsibility over rank. A student with a great dataset is as valuable as a professor with a theory.
Non-Partisanship
We are strictly non-political. We do not align with any party. Our only bias is toward public welfare.
Our Pathway to Impact
Our approach to influencing policy is pragmatic and adaptive. We do not lobby for political favors. Instead, our primary focus is on pre-policy input, providing fast-track, actionable recommendations before laws are finalized.
The Inside-Outside Bridge: Because our network includes professionals who are already working within the government, Nepal Experts Network serves as a secure hub. External technical minds and internal government workers can come together, discuss openly, and translate those discussions directly into the policy ecosystem.
From Input to Action: We started this initiative before the last election to help develop frameworks for fast-track policy changes that are actually possible to implement. While our current focus is pre-policy input, we are actively positioned to design and execute real-world pilot projects when opportunities arise. We keep learning, growing, and adapting our approach to fit different situations.
